Is the Way You Communicate Hurting Your Customers?

Customers People like to do business with people. Humans in general always want to be respected, loved and cared for. If you put these statements together you would eventually realize the importance of such a fundamental but often forgotten fact.

When it comes to businesses, however, every act of disrespect is a sure shot firing on your bottom line. If you disrespect your potential customer, you can be rest assured that they would never ever come back to you again. If they already have a working relationship with you, it would simply be the end of it.

Entrepreneurs are indeed fine people. They create opportunities, provide jobs, make lives better but if they don’t pay attention to this single aspect of life; a single thread of understanding of humanity; then whatever the business has stood for so long would collapse like a house of cards.

Your sales copy, your back office, your customer support, your front office staff, and your sales personnel - everything has to be in sync with this truth. Your business strategy has to breathe through this knowledge that a customer is not just a king or queen but an emperor and you better treat them that way.

Downright horrendous customer service can affect your company so bad that it would simply have a spiraling effect on your profitability. It would just throw your business off into the oblivion.

Excellent customer service and “customer first” strategies actually have made many a companies very profitable. These strategies and simple acts of paying attention to customer's needs has catapulted a lot of small businesses into the big league. Funny though it might seem, it isn’t very hard to implement. However, it is exceedingly difficult to sustain it.

Taking good care of one’s customers gives your company a competitive edge sometimes. Remember that if your business makes a service or product just about 10% nicer, better, faster or cheaper, people will flock to you.

Simple things are often ignored until they become gaping holes the size of black-holes. All you have to do is give people the respect they deserve anyway. Such is the world of humans doing business with other humans.
