If the task is too large and that is the reason why you cannot get started then break it up. Take the task and simplify it by splitting it up into smaller tasks. Do what needs to be done first and then the next thing. This way you are not overwhelmed and you can get the bigger task done much easier.
* Make it your mission
This is a bit like tackling but instead you are going to psyche yourself up and tell yourself that you are going to get this done once and for all, so you don’t have to think about it any longer. Sit down or stand whatever needs to be done for the task and tell yourself that there will be no more excuses.
* Set a deadline
If you are good with deadlines this is the perfect chance for you set a deadline for yourself. If you are burned out then you need to find something else to do that will relieve your burned out status. This will leave you refreshed and ready to handle the task. Giving yourself a deadline will ensure that you get what you need done faster.
What in your life, do you hate doing and just need to have done? Do it now. Do not put it off any longer. Once you do it, you will not have to do anymore. Well, except if it is something like cleaning or some other tasks that must be done regularly.
